Jacqueline Fernandez was born in Manama and raised by a mixed-ethnic, multiracial family. Her father Elroy Fernandez comes from Sri Lanka (Sinhalese - Catholic)and her mother Kim is a Malaysian. Jacqueline is the oldest of two brothers and a younger sister. Her parents relocated to Bahrain in 1980s due to the Lankan tensions and her birth and education were in Bahrain. After graduating from high school in Bahrain she was awarded the Scholarship at University of Sydney to pursue a Media and Communications Degree in Sydney, Australia. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 was crown in March 2006; she was also a part of Miss Universe 2006 Following her win of the Miss Sri Lanka title in 2006, she took on the world of television. She anchored a show that was a business show in Sri Lanka known as Lanka Business Report. Padukone (the mother of badminton player Prakash Padukone) was born and grew up in Bangalore. As a teenager, she played badminton in National level competitions. She later resigned her professional career in order to be a fashion model. Padukone comes from Mangalore and her mother language is Konkani. Padukone is located situated in Kundapura Taluk located in Udupi located in Karnataka State, India is where her ancestry is derived from. The father of her, Prakash Padukone, is an old badminton player who is of international repute, and her mother is a travel consultant.
